Job Description Job Description Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1 year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to provide essential communication support in a school environment located in Framingham, MA. This role involves traveling between educational sites, ensuring students with hearing impairments receive effective and accessible communication throughout their learning experience. Responsibilities: Facilitate clear and accurate sign language interpretation for students, teachers, and staff during classroom instruction and school activities. Travel between various school locations within the assigned area to support multiple programs as needed. Collaborate with educators and support staff to enhance communication strategies and accessibility. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times in compliance with school policies and regulations. Participate in training and development opportunities to stay current with sign language standards and educational requirements. Qualifications: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreting experience. Familiarity with educational terminology and classroom settings preferred. Ability to travel between schools efficiently and maintain a flexible schedule. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, educators, and families.
