In your new role you will:
Lead the team that is responsible for the overall equipment
strategy for the factory including selection, purchasing,
maintenance, obsolescence.
Lead a team of Equipment and Calibration Technicians that drives
the maintenance, troubleshooting, and the equipment improvements of
complex semiconductor backend equipment.
Support facility-wide 5S activities.
Using data, drive improvement in all our Maintenance processes.
Continue to optimize our Preventative Maintenance (PM) program and
manage the spare part inventory.
Lead optimization of existing equipment efficiencies and reduction
of equipment-generated defects.
Work closely with the Process and Industrial Engineers to ensure
that our equipment is fully optimized and that new equipment will
meet time requirements.
Ensure proper staffing levels. Train and mentor technicians to
spread knowledge and improve work efficiency and overall knowledge
within the group
Lead the team that responds to emergencies like storms, and power
outages in order to protect our equipment and enable production to
come back on-line as soon as practical and safe.
Work effectively with the equipment suppliers to identify
shortcomings, and propose and evaluate modifications to mitigate
issues. Work with suppliers to optimize PM programs and spare
parts.
Work closely with stakeholders including Operational Excellence,
Industrial Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensure that our
equipment is fully optimized, meeting uptime requirements and
support operational goals of growth and profitability.
Drive improvements on quality, reliability, cost, yield,
productivity and safety/ergonomics.
Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and
problem-solving tools.
Define KPIs to drive improvement in Equipment Maintenance,
including Preventative Maintenance (PM), critical spare part
inventory, qualifying third-party vendors for equipment service
agreements, and working with equipment suppliers to identify and
mitigate risks.
Generate reports (such as 8D) illustrating the root cause of
incidents, corrective actions, and future preventative measures
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
Degree in engineering, science or operations.
5+ years' experience in a maintenance management role. Ideally with
5+years' prior experience as an Equipment Engineer or
Technician.
Knowledge of computerized maintenance management system
(CMMS)software, ideally Faciliworks.
Strong knowledge of technical concepts, including electrical and
mechanical systems.
The ability to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical
schematics. Use judgement to interpret, troubleshoot, and promptly
resolve issues to maintain factory uptime
Proven history in driving change using MTTR, MTTF, etc.
Great communications, including accomplished written, oral and
presentational skills.
Ideally knowledge of semiconductor backend processes, such as die
attach, wire bond, package sealing, lead, finish, trim and form,
and mechanical assemblies.
Worked with other teams to deliver customer commitments on projects
and tasks.
Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills. Effective in
defining schedules and project completion.
Experience working in fast-pace and dynamic manufacturing
environment. You must be a self-starter, and a fast-learner
