Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Position: Junior Signal
Integrity Engineer Location: Hampton, NH Ardent Concepts, an
Amphenol company, is a leading designer and manufacturer of high
performance multicoaxial and coaxial interconnect assemblies,
connectors, and interfaces used in the development of next
generation semiconductors, quantum computers, and electronics
systems. Ardent was built on core technologies that yield the
smallest, fastest, and most electrically efficient compression
mount connector interfaces worldwide. As data rate requirements
increase and devices and systems shrink, Ardent's products deliver
superior signal integrity in a dense footprint that can be reusable
across programs to maximize cost savings. Our focus is on helping
bring next generation computing to market through novel connector
designs for test & measurement, OEM applications, and specialized
military applications. Ardent's patented contact technologies are
well suited for advanced multi-GHz applications such as board stack
connectors, coaxial connectors, FPGA sockets, flex circuit
connectors, probe interfaces, and mezzanine card connectors. We
have a complete line of high-performance interfaces for the most
advanced chipsets such as RF devices, ASICS, switches, processors,
and MEMS devices. We support chip to chip, chip to board, board to
board, and flex to board applications. We are currently seeking a
Junior Signal Integrity Engineer to join our team and lead the
Ardent SI community and help drive new product development. Ardent
has experienced explosive growth in the last 5 years and it is
imperative that we stay ahead of the technology requirement in
interconnect. This position is located in our Hampton, NH office.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist Senior Signal Integrity Engineer in all
aspects of optimizing PCB structures for maximum performance with
TR Multicoax 90GHz products. Collaborate with Applications
Engineers to gather all necessary data for initiating the
optimization process. Create models in CAD software using collected
data; familiarity with SolidWorks and Geometric Dimensioning and
Tolerancing (GD&T) is a plus, or a willingness to learn. Run
and import models in 3D EM software for analysis. Track each step
of the optimization process to accurately measure duration and
identify opportunities for targeted process improvements. Maintain
detailed records of each optimization to provide accurate feedback
to Applications Engineering on process duration by PCB structure
type. This historical data will support more accurate customer lead
time estimates by accounting for varying complexity. Perform
end-to-end optimizations with guidance from the Senior Signal
Integrity Engineer. QUALIFICATIONS: BS in Electrical Engineering,
MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering is preferred. 0-3 years of
industry experience with an understanding of electro-magnetic
principles for digital signal integrity Experience with CAD tools
such as SolidWorks is a plus, or a willingness to learn. Experience
in component design and application of high-speed connectors into
communications equipment is a plus Familiarity with Geometric
Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is a plus. Experience with
signal integrity measurements and debugging with TDR, VNA, pattern
generators, error detectors and similar measurement equipment.
Experience with RF Engineering Experience with signal integrity and
simulation/analysis tools such as Ansys HFSS and Designer, CST
Microwave, HSPICE, MATLAB, and ADS is a plus Hands-on experience
