Job Description:
US Foods, a premier foodservice distributor in America, is
seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic Lead to oversee and ensure the
optimal operation and maintenance of our transportation fleet. You
will play a pivotal role in maintaining the mechanical reliability
of vehicles crucial for the timely and safe delivery of our vast
range of products, directly impacting our success and efficiency.
This position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership
skills, and a commitment to safety and operational standards.
Oversee the daily operations of fleet maintenance and repair. Lead,
train, and manage a team of mechanics and technicians. Schedule
regular maintenance and ensure compliance with national safety
regulations. Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using
diagnostic equipment. Ensure all vehicles meet environmental
regulations and standards. Manage inventory of parts and supplies,
ensuring availability and cost efficiency. Maintain detailed
records of services performed and costs involved. Advise on
upgrades and replacements, managing budgets for fleet improvements.
Expertise in diesel and petrol engine maintenance. Proficiency with
diagnostic software and tools. Strong leadership and project
management skills. Ability to communicate effectively and train
team members. Knowledge of compliance and safety procedures.

Excellence (ASE). Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred.
