Position Summary:
As the Director of Residential Lending, you are responsible for the
growth of all residential lending originations and processes in a
manner consistent with our LifeDesign culture while achieving
sales, growth and retention targets across Fidelity Bank's
footprint. You will set and execute the overall direction of the
residential lending sales strategy, pricing and profitability while
achieving budgeted origination, market share and profitability
targets.
The Director of Residential Lending will have the opportunity
establish a strategy and build growth within our local footprint as
well direct to consumer markets. Strategy should include loan
originators in Fidelity's core markets; direct to consumer digital
initiatives and strategic relationships such as joint ventures,
investment in mortgage bankers and/or technology service providers,
loan participation and correspondent lending opportunities.
You will be responsible for a team of loan originators and our
direct to consumer digital in-house sales team, with executive
accountabilities for all elements including managing sales
performance, oversight of compensation, and professional
development. The ideal candidate will be skilled at recruiting the
right talent and building a team ofhigh-achieving sales agents and
credit support staff. Collaboration with the Digital team,
Commercial Lending and Community Banking is essential for
success.
Primary Duties
Leadership and Management:
- Optimize Mortgage Operations to create strong client omnichannel
experience; oversee process improvement and optimization of the
operational aspects of mortgage lending. Ensure that consumer
compliance standards are achieved and adhered to. - Responsible for
supervising Mortgage Operations to ensure service levels are
achieved and client experience meets Life Design service delivery
expectations. - Identify and adopt appropriate technology assets to
support all aspects of Fidelity's Life Design approach to banking
services. Create, implement and administer a servicing and client
retention strategy consistent with the LifeDesign approach. -
Ensure Low and Moderate Income (LMI) residential targets are
achieved, and community partnerships and financial education plans
are in place to leverage Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) team. -
Monitor and analyze the risk associated with Fidelity's lending
programs. Analyze loan data reports usingfact-based decision making
to contribute to the overall organizational strategy and
appropriate risk management. - Oversee the development and
monitoring of performance standards for the lending teams. Set and
monitor department performance requirements, goals, and objectives.
Provide mentoring, coaching, or training to support and develop
managers and staff. - Collaborate with the Digital team, Commercial
Lending and Community Banking on growth initiatives. - Establish
incentive/commission compensation programs for real estate lending
departments. Ensure Incentive/ commission programs are in
compliance with regulatory requirements applicable for the
corresponding department. - Develops annual budget aligned with the
bank organizational growth and performance strategies. - Identify &
prioritize improvements to our client experience to accelerate our
ability to attract clients and strengthen our brand.
90- Day Performance Expectations
- Fully embrace the LifeDesign Banking approach, coach all mortgage
employees to learn and embrace it and lead presentations within the
market. - Develop, present and begin implementation of a sales
strategy with a particular focus on the purchase market within 90
days. - Identify talent/knowledge gaps, develop a recruiting
strategy if necessary.

CARE process and approach - Be active in banking industry
organizations and programs to establish a resource network of other
bankers. - Remain cognizant of trends and developments affecting
the industry and the Bank.

Job Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years lending experience - A minimum of 5 years
of lending senior leadership - Agile workplace experience & mindset
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to spin many
plates - Banking experience strongly preferred - Bachelor's degree
required; MBA preferred.
