We are looking for a Technical Director Systems Engineer for our plant near Leominster, MA. -

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be accountable for large system integration projects' technical vision and success. These projects are for ship-based electric plants and propulsion systems used in naval and commercial marine applications.

You will coordinate the development of technical deliverables with the engineering team and be the final reviewer and approval authority for technical outputs.

Make sure to steer the interdisciplinary technical teams to architect, analyze, and specify requirements/interfaces for generating equipment, power distribution equipment, propulsion systems, machinery control systems, and other related auxiliary equipment.

Oversee the project's success through individual technical contributions and represent the company in front of customers, including the US Navy.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of experience.

Ability to Obtain Security Clearance.

Strong record of driving a development cycle from concept to qualified systems and direct experience with integrating and testing megawatt-class gensets, distribution systems, and propulsion equipment for maritime vessels.

Strong understanding of ship-level schematics & documentation like One-Line Diagrams, Electric Plant Load Analysis (EPLA), Ship Work Breakdown Structure (SWBS), and Endurance Fuel Calculations.

Excellent understanding of marine classification societies like American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Lloyds, DNV, Bureau Veritas (BV), etc.

Experience with commissioning of marine electric plant and propulsion system equipment from installation during ship construction through builder's trials and acceptance trials.

Ideally, experience with marine gas turbines and/or diesel engines, designing/developing marine equipment, agile project management tools, or using Jira, and leading the successful integration of multiple sub-systems.
