Job Description:
Title: Director of OperationsReports To:-- Chief Executive
OfficerSupervises: Production & Warehouse Coordinators, Maintenance
Mechanic, Materials Manager, Hard Cider Production Manager,
Production & Warehouse Staff, Temporary Workers--Position Purpose
Summary: This person, an experienced food/beverage manufacturing
leader, will manage--all company production and logistics
operations to achieve defect-free 100% make-to-order customer
fulfillment while increasing operating productivity--Examples of
Duties and Responsibilities:Manages Production Planning,
Scheduling, and LogisticsIdentifies and Oversees Continuous
Improvement and Cost Reduction InitiativesPlans, Budgets, and
Oversees Capital Improvement ProjectsOversees Adequate Raw
Materials Availability via Materials ManagerContinuous interaction
with Office Manager to develop and adjust daily production and
logistics scheduleUnderstands and documents all operations
functions--Ideal candidates will possess the following capabilities
and experience:Bachelor's Degree - mechanical engineering a plus10+
years of operations management in food and beverage manufacturing
environments with track record of increasing
responsibilityFamiliarity with third party, GFSI-approved food
safety systemsSelf-directed and -motivated with a "whatever it
takes" approachExcellent interpersonal and team leadership
skillsTrack record of ongoing operations performance improvement
and productivity gains; "Lean" knowledge a plusProficiency with MS
Excel; exposure to MRP systems a plus.Ability to bend, squat,
kneel, walk on uneven surfaces, climb stairs, and lift up to 50
lbs.
