Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leader in healthcare focused on
education, research, and patient care, is currently searching for a
highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse III for our Adult
Emergency Department (ED). This role is pivotal in delivering
top-tier care in a high-pressure environment, ensuring patients
receive the most effective response in emergency situations. The
Clinical Nurse III will act as a senior healthcare provider,
handling complex cases, mentoring junior nurses, and collaborating
with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes. Provide
direct and comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and injured
patients in the Adult Emergency Department. Coordinate care plans
and conduct patient assessments, adjusting as necessary during the
patient's ED visit. Mentor and guide junior nursing staff in
clinical competencies and professional development. Work closely
with interdisciplinary medical teams to enhance patient care and
outcomes. Participate in the development and implementation of
departmental policies and procedures. Ensure the application of
emergency protocols and manage medical emergencies with a
proficient, calm, and efficient approach. Advanced clinical skills
specific to adult emergency care Strong leadership and mentoring
abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Capability to make quick and informed decisions under pressure
Proficiency in using medical software and electronic health records
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Registered
Nurse (RN) License in the state of practice Certification in
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification in
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
