Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system integrating a
premier hospital with a top-tier medical college, seeks a dedicated
Clinical Nurse III to join our Surgical Intensive Care Unit
(SICU)/Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU). This role is designed
for a compassionate and skilled nurse who is focused on progressing
their career in a dynamic and supportive environment dedicated to
innovative patient care and outstanding medical education. The
position requires expertise in managing critically ill patients who
require complex assessment and high-intensity therapies and
interventions. Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to
critically ill patients by assessing patient condition and need for
complex interventions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary health
teams to plan, manage, and assess patient treatments. Implement and
monitor patient care plans and adjust as necessary. Administer
medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Educate
patients and their families on disease processes, medical-surgical
procedures and other aspects of therapeutic regimens. Mentor and
guide junior staff with their duties and professional development.
Expertise in SICU or Neuro ICU settings Proficient in using medical
software for patient care management Ability to perform complex
patient assessments Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills Medical Insurance
