Albany Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Nurse III to join our pioneering healthcare system. This role is integral to our Short Stay Surgical unit, offering an ideal opportunity for a seasoned nurse to apply specialized skills in a focused, fast-paced environment. The Clinical Nurse III is responsible for providing superior patient care, ensuring patient safety, and promoting fast recovery. The candidate will work closely with a team of professionals in a state-of-the-art facility, where the focus is on innovative treatment and patient comfort. Provide holistic and specialized nursing care for post-operative patients in a short-stay surgical unit. Monitor patient health and recovery, documenting symptoms and medical outcomes. Administrate medications as prescribed and monitor responses. Educate patients and families on postoperative home care requirements and health management. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain a clean and safe environment complying with all hospital regulations and safety standards. Participate in ongoing education to remain knowledgeable about the latest healthcare practices relevant to surgical and short-stay nursing. Excellent patient assessment skills Strong knowledge in postoperative care procedures Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment Strong organizational and communication skills Capability to manage multiple patient needs simultaneously Proficient in using medical software and electronic health records Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred
