Job Description:
Description: JOB SUMMARY The MRI Technologist is responsible for
ensuring patient safety and producing high-quality Magnetic
Resonance Imaging (MRI) studies. This role requires effective
communication with patients, staff, and radiologists, and may
include training new technologists and/or patient coordinators as
needed. RESPONSIBILITIES * Ensure patient safety, including
thorough pre-screening for MRI contraindications and proper aseptic
injection techniques * Produce high-quality diagnostic MRI images *
Position patients using appropriate immobilization and protective
equipment to comply with safety regulations and ensure
patient/staff safety * Conduct MRI safety screenings prior to
procedure performance * Start IVs and administer contrast media as
directed and according to protocol * Evaluate MRI scans for
technical quality and accuracy * Manage supplies, assist with daily
cleaning of MRI unit, and support patient transport preparation *
Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and radiologists *
Train new technologists and/or patient coordinators as assigned *
Coordinate scheduling logistics and assist with patient flow to
optimize efficiency * Conduct MRI safety screenings prior to
procedure performance by identifying and mitigating potential
hazards related to magnetic fields, equipment, and patient
conditions within the MRI environment. CHARACTERISTICS * Strong

Well-organized and detail-oriented Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS *
High school diploma or equivalent * Associate's degree or
equivalent experience * Active ARRT (R), ARRT (MR), or ARMRIT
certification * Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification * 1-2
years of MRI experience preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Sitting:
