In this role, you will operate Conestoga trailers which require unique skills for handling and securing cargo with less risk of damage. Safely operate a Conestoga trailer to transport goods to various locations Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Plan routes and meet delivery schedules Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Report defects, accidents or violations Proven work experience as a CDL A Conestoga trailer driver Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.) Strong organizational and time management skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid truck driving license (CDL A) Must possess a clean driving record Endorsement for double/triple trailers is a plus
