Field Engineer 4 Contract Duration: 9 Months (Potential for Extension) Location: Onsite in Williston, VT Clearance Requirement: U.S. Citizenship Required Client: Dell (Certifications Required Post-Offer; Provided at No Cost) Position Overview: We’re seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Field Engineer 4 to join our team supporting a major client, Dell, in the Williston, VT area. This is an onsite role focused on computer hardware repair and field support. Candidates must be comfortable with extensive driving, follow detailed scripts, and work both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: Provide support for Dell Client Transformation Services calls, including installation and servicing of PCs, peripherals, and other electronic equipment. Perform field-based hardware repairs including motherboard and LCD replacements. Load software via scripting and perform system tests. Complete unit swaps, whole-unit replacements, and simple printer fixes. Operate under the direction of a help desk or detailed scripts, with a focus on Next Business Day (NBD) or Same Business Day (SBD) service delivery. Perform routine installations, moves, adds, and changes as part of a directed team. Position Requirements: A Certification is Required. If not currently certified, you will have 90 days from the start date to obtain certification (or risk termination). Must be able to obtain Dell certifications before starting (training is self-paced and provided at no cost). Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Ability to travel 250–350 miles per week. Mileage during the workday is reimbursed per standard Unisys policy. Strong experience in diagnosing and repairing Dell laptops and desktops. Willingness to comply with a business casual dress code. Comfortable working past standard business hours when required (overtime compensated per law). Must pass background and drug screening. Preferred Experience: Several years of hands-on experience with field hardware repair. Recent experience replacing motherboards and LCDs. Familiarity with Dell PC diagnostics and support tools.
