Job Description:

We are looking for a Student testing and Disability Coordinator to fill an opening immediately at Shriver Job Corps Center in Devens, Massachusetts. Job Summary: The Student Testing and Disability Coordinator coordinates and directs student testing on center. Demonstrates a high degree of discipline within testing areas to maintain appropriate testing environment. Ensure student schedules are prepared and distributed for each training week. works with the center Reasonable Accommodations Team to ensure student accommodations are updated, maintained and offered during testing. Duties:The Student Testing and Disability Coordinator coordinates all center activities and functions related to student accommodations and scheduling, including the development, production, and distribution of all pertinent documentation.Maintains a high degree of discipline within testing area to maintain appropriate testing environmentEstablishes a high degree of student rapportIs accountable for cleanliness, which includes materials and equipment left in an organized manner at the completion of the test periodParticipates in student performance evaluation panels, education meetings or other student-staff-oriented functionsInitiates all requisitions on supplies needed for testing within his/her classroomMakes recommendations to supervisor on improvements in their subject areasSets up and performs a continuous testing schedule that includes courses needed for GED testingSets up and performs a continuous TABE Testing schedule that includes initial test on all students. Follow-up tests will be given in accordance with TABE test policiesPrescribes written diagnostics to instructorsConducts workshops to assist instructors for classroom remediationSubmits testing results to Academic SupervisorMeets with the Academic Supervisor, and Academic Instructors to discuss new trends, techniques, and problems with the learning gainsPosts results of all scoresReviews enrollee accommodationsMeet with Reasonable Accommodation team weeklyEnsures accommodations are reviewed with students. Recommends changes in testing materials when neededInitiate requisition for Pre-GED testsWorks towards meeting performance management goalsFollows CDSS/CSS/BMS plan and procedures dailyMaintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practicesComplies with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and proceduresModels appropriate employability skills for dress, language, and work habitsContinuously helps students become more employableParticipation in PRH mandated staff training is mandatory..

Student Testing and Disability Coordinator Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulation. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, groups of managers, students and the general public. Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw related conclusion. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Experience: One to two years related experience and/or trainingEducation: High School Diploma/High School Equivalent required.
