We have embarked on a CEO-led transformation, as part of our journey to become a truly purpose-led, future fit company.When you are part of the Alphagary team, you are helping to advance life around the world by manufacturing materials that are made into durable, high-performance and sustainable products that connect us to technology, help us when we are sick, keep our homes warm and dry, and enhance our safety.Alphagary designs and manufactures specialty compounds for applications that are extruded or molded by our customers into a variety of end-products that we find in everyday life.As part of the Global IT organization, you will be a key player in identifying current and future IT needs to ensure the infrastructure remains robust and aligns with Orbia and Alphagary's current and future business requirements.To achieve this, you will work closely with the Global IT and all levels of the organization to implement, recommend, and manage IT solutions for end users.You will:Provide and manage technical support for multiple company plant/factory sites, remote and onsite, the Orbia Waltham office for all IT areas, including PC support, wifi/WAN/LAN and global webcasting.Install and configure computer hardware including memory, PC's and external devices.Ensure that all hardware/software is adequately maintained.Ensure various operating systems are installed and configured per Company policies and procedures.Identify, evaluate and recommend network, hardware and software solutions, including site wide wifi, which will meet the Company's needs and be consistent with Orbia's global IT policies. Ensure that the IT Support service is available to users and that information systems are maintained per Company and Group global IT standards.Ensure the installation and maintenance of hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, including manufacturing operating systems, is done per design or installation specifications.Monitor the daily performance of computer systems and when issues are observed respond by identifying and implementing appropriate solutions.Monitor the network and IT systems and recommend solutions that meet the needs of the Operating Units and be cost and technically effective for the Group as a whole.Provide technical support to end users either in person, electronically or via phone.Keep abreast of information technology developments including software applications to meet company requirements.Ensure that established security procedures are implemented and maintained in order to safeguard the Company's records against loss, damage by fire or explosion, industrial espionage, acts of vandalism, fraud, etc.Identify and implement processes to administer the telecommunications system (VOIP) and provide user training and support.Qualifications: 2-5 years of experience in hands-on IT solutions deployment and support - to onsite as well as remote users.Knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking and other IT systems.Experience interacting with business and non-technical users to solve their IT challenges is a must. Service-desk/help-desk knowledge including Service-now ticketing system is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills enabling thorough and timely resolution of technical issues with end users.Ability to develop good relationships with internal and external customers at all levels.Experience supporting IT systems (hardware, software, networking) across multiple locations both in person and remotely.This role will support Alphagary manufacturing locations and Orbia Waltham, MA office.Strong background in managing outside service providers that support network systems, connectivity, phone systems and all other support equipment.Ability to provide efficient and cost-effective technical support.Our Global brands: Dura-Line, Koura Global, Vestolit, Netafim, Alphagary, Wavin.They offer a broad range of value added solutions and finished products that contribute to customers' success and ultimate improve the quality of life for people around the world.
