TITLE: - Principal Motor Engineer

VACCINATION REQUIREMENT: None -

We are looking for a Principle Motor Engineer for our Plant near Leominster, MA. You will be working on designing and manufacturing large electric machines with magnet topologies.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Main contributor of new permanent magnet motors and generators for the commercial and defense markets.

This will include Electromagnetic design and analysis, specification of flux-carrying and insulation materials, first-order and detailed sizing/configuration of machines to meet customer specifications, and productization of motor design concepts.

Make sure to assist in the upkeep of current motor and generator products. Provide engineering support for the manufacturing of large, form-wound stators.

Ability to document, communicate, and present technical information to both technical and non-technical individuals.

Cross-collaborate with other departments, company locations, and suppliers to resolve design problems and create the best system solutions possible.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in science or engineering.

eight years experience with electric machine design, ideally in permanent magnet electric machines.

Ideally, experience with marine certifications for electric machines with electromagnetic design tools.

Familiarity with industrial (IEC, NEMA, etc.) motor design specifications.

Ability to obtain a security clearance required.

Experience with CAD and/or analysis programs such as Solidworks, Unigraphics, MATLAB, ANSYS, or similar.
