EDI Specialist - Logistics Systems, Strategy & Analytics (Remote)

  • Contract Duration 8 Months
  • Pay rate up to $45.98/hr
    What Makes This Role Different?
    • EDI Specialist is responsible for the onboarding of external partners (transportation carriers and 3rd party logistics providers) on EDI to enable the flow of information between the client and those partners.
    • This key role in the organization is critical in ensuring accurate and reliable systemic data flows, providing visibility to client goods throughout the supply chain.
    • EDI Specialist will monitor and follow up on compliance with EDI information, building key partnerships and relationships internally with various client Logistics teams and IT, as well as a wide network of external partners.
      What Can You Expect?
      • Partner with Logistics and IT teams to onboard new transportation carriers and 3rd party providers to the EDI program.
      • Send and receive test data, and review data for compliance with requirements.
      • Evaluate and enforce compliance with EDI program requirements with a focus on identifying and determining systemic versus operational EDI issues.
      • Research and execute action plans to address EDI issues and errors with external partners, escalating to the appropriate internal business partners for support when necessary.
      • Develop, analyze, and publish EDI exception and compliance reporting. Make recommendations to enhance and provide more effective and actionable reports and summaries.
      • Build and maintain relationships and partnerships with Logistics Operations, Freight Payment, Carrier Management, IT, and external carrier and provider partners.
      • Create, maintain, and conduct training to support the EDI program.
      • Effectively communicate the impact and importance of specific data elements to ensure successful and timely EDI transmissions, respond to EDI questions, and provide additional 1:1 support.
      • Support documentation of current processes and mapping requirements around EDI, identifying process improvement areas.
        Skills Required to Make You Successful:
        • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
        • 2+ years of relevant experience working with EDI
        • Experience within Supply Chain / Logistics or Transportation a plus
        • Analytical approach to problem-solving, leveraging strong proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
        • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships
        • Excellent critical thinking skills and strong attention to detail
        • Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment with proven ability to multi-task
          Skills
          • EDI Specialist with logistics and transportation pieces is necessary to have
          • EDI experience worked within the 200 series transactions
          • JDA blue yonder is a plus
          • Excel experience is required
          • Power BI is a plus
          • Strong verbal and written skills are needed
            Note:
            • Our client is not looking for an EDI Developer
            • 100% remote position
