This position will take place on the BMC MCGEE UNIT, which is a
detox unit. Berkshire Medical Center has 14 psychiatrists and 10
clinical nurse specialists, who team up with clinical
psychologists, social workers, nurses and other clinicians to staff
a Clinical Collaborative of comprehensive mental health and
substance abuse services with the Brien Center. The majority of the
acute services are located at BMC, while the majority of the
long-term outpatient services are located at the Brien Center. Our
comprehensive program has two inpatient psychiatry units, one
inpatient chemical dependency unit, one clinical stabilization unit
(CSS), a partial hospital, a child crisis stabilization unit, two
adult acute crisis houses, half-way houses, rehabilitation
programs, seven outpatient clinics and a crisis team. Last year our
combined programs treated approximately 12,000 of the 135,000
people in Berkshire County. Unit Size: 20 beds Dress Code: Personal
